all last week I spent in hospital due to either having a cyst on my ovary attached to my womb or a fibroid on womb attached to ovary doctors not sure wot
well all they gave me in hospital was paracemtomal codine and oramorp which im still on now having to have the oramorp every 2 hrs the pain is so serve as I cant even sleep with the pain, I went to the hospital on wedensday for a pre op assement which they said every thing is fine, and surery was planned for next Tuesday for a laporostmy , well had fone call from my consulants secertery today saying they have cancelled surgery due to having a high hba1c of 108/12% I need to get it down to 68/8.4% before they consider doing anything but the thing is I need to have this done asap due to the pain and the discomfort im in , its hard with an active family as well I have 4 children 16,15,9.4 with my 9year old son has neurodevelopment disorder which includes adhd, tourettes, asd, austim etc and he is very hard work that he doesn't understand wot is happeing with me, im thinkg of going to to a&e due to how much the pain is as if I go to the gps they just refeerr me to the gyny ward which just gives me pain meds and do nothing I just cant put up with the pain anymore as its crippling anyone who can help me
 
So sorry to hear what you're going through - you must feel like there is no hope of getting the pain under control :banghead:

What are you eating at the moment? Going Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) can bring dramatic improvements in blood sugar control very quickly and might be worth a go. Have a read of the low carb diet forum on here and the guide for beginners. If you can drop your numbers then the surgery can go ahead.

At 16 and 15 the older children can help no end I'm sure. Your priority is to get your A1c and pain down to an acceptable level. Reading your other posts it does appear you have a major issue with your control. No surgeon will do surgery on a patient with an A1cof 12% unless it's life or death. The highest I think is 9%
So you need to sort your insulin dosage out, if you are stuck then you need an urgent referral to the diabetes team at your hospital.
Very sorry you are in so much pain though.
