Not doing very well......

Losing weight..... I bought a mountain bike and rode along the river every night for a few years...that got me down to 18 stone, but I then damaged my back so cant use bike, but do a lot of walking

then I stopped drinking, well I say stopped I used to drink 6-7 pints a night, every night, but that was due to being in a bad place.... I rarely drink these days, and just drink wine when i do

Also the Metformin has an affect on my weight loss,as in it helps it

But it was down to exercise in the main, but back then I had time

As you enjoy a drink you will be pleased to know that red wine is fine for us, in moderation of course, and also Vodka I believe but with a no-carb mixer.

Your time is restricted as regards exercise, but what about parking the car short of your destination and walking the last half mile or so? In some areas this may even be quicker! You don't need long walks. A brisk 20 minute one is good.

here are some sites that helped me ..a bit of light reading for the weekend :)
what I did to start with was cut all grain, grain product, potato and sugary stuff
ate lots of non starch veg, normal protein and used healthy fats/oils in my diet to replace the lost energy from the carbs

Great advice from everyone My advice is to treat yourself to a glass of good red wine a hand full of Almonds and 2 squares of over 70%choc and chill !,but keep to the other advice as well;)
