Hey all,
Just got back from my 6-monthly diabetes check. My results were OK, but my HbA1c has crept up to 6.1 (was 5.9 in November). I am so disappointed  I know there's not much difference, but it feels a big step backwards as it is the highest it has been since November 2010. My average BG from my testing over the last 3 months was also 6.1 and I was hoping this would equate to a lower HbA1c, not a higher one! I'm going to have a grumpy wallow today and then look at how to get back into the 5s from tomorrow.
It was odd, though, because the nurse (who I have no confidence in as she was the one who misdiagnosed me as type 2 and nearly killed me - not that I'm bitter  ) was telling me off for having my HbA1c too low, while I was feeling very disappointed that it had gone up into the 6s - surreal
In other news blood pressure was 100/68 - is that OK? (I don't understand BP readings)
Cholestorol:
Cholestorol 4.4
Trig 0.56
HDL 2.3
LDL 1.8
Cholestorol:LDL ratio 1.9
I need to find the table Borofergie posted a few days ago to see if the cholestorol is OK, but I think it is.
Oh, and the surgery now want to charge patients for a printout of their results. In my grumpy mood, I suggested a few more effective ways of saving money
Sorry for bimbling on! Just wanted to tell you all!
