i have never had a problem on here.. no one i believe claims to be medically qualified its all from experience, i'm sorry you seem to have had a bad experience.

Yes and your probably one of them mate. Why do a post like this? Everyone understands the concept of a forum don't they?

Considering you have only been a member for a few weeks, I smell a rat!

You are quite correct. May I ask what made you think that there would be medically trained people here?

This is a support forum for diabetics populated by people with diabetes who share similar experiences not a replacement for our doctors/health team.

There are actually some qualified Health Care Professionals posting here but as members not in a professional capacity, any HCP found offering medical advice in an open forum would be liable to be struck off and rightly so as it is impossible to know a persons medical history just by reading a post on a forum and to diagnose or offer medical advice without knowing a full medical history would be totally improper.

Go if you like but there is a wealth of information and support here, perhaps you will reconsider

Looking through your posts visitor and the replies that you have had I think you have absolutely nothing to complain about This site is a wealth of information perhaps it would have helped you if you had taken the trouble to research it

Personally I have to say that this forum has been fantastic, I've learnt loads and now feel I have a better grip of my levels but not once did I think the info should come from anyone medically qualified I would rather know its come from others that live with this condition day in, day out
 
If you wanted to know about a pedigree dog, would you ask the vet or the breeder?:wink:

I think this person completely misunderstands the basics of forums. I for one would never take medical advise from anyone who said they were a doctor on a forum - maybe I'm a cynic but I'd like a little proof! We are all here to offer help and suppprt to each other and I find this forum to be fantastic for both. Totally agree that there really is no need for the public departure from this forum. What a lot of foot stomping! If you are not happy here, Sayonara!

Bahaha, oh dear... I LOVE this forum!!!

There is no end of info and helpful titbits here if you care to look for them. I have learnt SO much since being here... more then I've ever got from any qualified doctors in my 20 years as a diabetic.

Nobody should be giving anyone medical advice over the internet, no way!
