Novo confident of Type 1 pill

an upbeat article that reveals how a pharm company is working hard to alleviate the misery of needles...

“When we started this, I thought it was going to be very, very difficult,” says Lars Fogh Iversen, who heads the company’s diabetes protein engineering unit. “Now I am really confident we will crack this one.”

This reminds me of the 1980's when a University in Scotland were looking to develop a pill to replace insulin injections. I really hope Novo are successful as it would benefit those who are newly diagnosed but to get by the acid and enzymes in the stomach is a big ask.

As with many other drugs Jim, they sound very confident they can overcome this so fingers crossed!
