Novomix30

I have recently had my insulin changed to novomix30 (2 injections) instead of using a different insulin (injecting 4 times) a day which i found very painful. With the novomix30 the diabetic nurse said i need to eat 3 meals a day is this really necessary cos some days i dont want to, i feel i am being forced to eat!

i have been on novamix 30 for years and i have not needed to eat 3 times a day i will have my breakfast sometimes a biscuit or toast but no hard and fast rules and my dinner at night and i have found it no problems novamix 30 is only 30 percent fast acting insulin 70 percent slow so if you dont feel like eating 3 meal dont as long as you do eat breakfast and dinner you should be ok im still here 20 years later

Thanx for your response, the diabetic nurse rams it down my throat that i need to eat 3 meals a day, sumtimes ill eat breakfast and a late lunch and i will not want any tea!! Its almost like forcing me to eat!! I just want to eat when i want 2! Thanx again!!
