Novooen

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge it’s the Novopen 6 & Novopen echo plus?
They are capable of Bluetoothing dose data & timing to librelink & Juggluco app as far as I’m aware.

Thanks. I suppose if you don't want to Bluetooth then the 5 is fine?
It’s my belief the Novopen 5 is no longer made?

I’m not sure when you were issued with yours. But it’s always wise to have a couple of spare pens.
I didn’t know I had a use for the 6 untill I started scanning in the dosage instead of having to log manually?

I need to correct my earlier statement on the Novopen 6 having “Bluetooth.” It actually transfers the data via NFC or Near Field Communication. Like using contactless bank cards?

Was so happy with my novopen echo pluses, but then the health authority switched my CGMs to Libre 3 and then Libre 3 plus and the app for those does not work with the Novo pens! The pens still ‘remember’ when and what dose I took, but I have to enter the data manually in the Libre 3 app.
Some issue between Abbott who make the CGM and the company who make the pens. I guess if I used a third party app to track my levels and insulin then it could work.‍♀️

Hi,

I’m not sure if Juggluco (a 3rd party app.) works with Libre 3.
But what I do know is it’s Novopen 6 can scan dosage & also dismisses the dose delivered by Airshot. (priming the needle.)
Unlike the “flow check” one has to cancel using librelink..
