Novopen Echo question

Thanks. The half unit and memory functions seem useful. Do they hold 300 units like my pens (I'm guessing yes)? I think I used one sometime back. I had to sort of "rewind" it before starting a new cartridge. It didn't do half units though.

I once saw a YouTube video of someone taking apart the disposable pen and it did not look like an easy job @TorqPenderloin . Any tips? :)

They sell Novopen Echos here in the US. I use them for my Novolog and have two of them bought from my local Walgreens. They retail for $70 each without insurance.

Of note: the vials in the 1 time use flexpens are exactly the same. I've taken on apart (Levemir and Novolog) and they fit inside a Novopen Echo.
Cool. How much are the 300 unit vials compared to the Flexpens? Are they about the same weight?

They retail for the same price and the vials are literally the exact same. The plastic flex pen part is the only difference.

Oddly enough, the vials-only retail for less than the flexpens even though you're paying for literally the exact same thing...actually less considering that you don't get he plastic disposable pen part.

My tip: don't do it unless you have to lol.

I did it only because I was curious with a used up Levemir flexpen. It's very easy to chip the vials (which are glass).

Note: the Novolog/novorapid vials and the humalog vials are NOT the same. I've tried that one out too with an old humapen luxura.
