Feeling hungry! “Should you be eating that?” “ You get it because you eat wrong”
I have recently been put on Metformin. Do I need to tell the DVLA? Car insurer? anyone else?

Thanks, Crimsonclient. I thought my premiums would go up. Was I wrong?

They shouldn't go up but mine rid by£3.75 a month but I am also on insulin but if they go up I won't be by much hopefully

Thanks again, Crimsonclient

Neither are concerned if you are just on Metformin. You do not need to advise DVLA. If other drugs or insulin are prescribed which can cause hypos then you will need to tell.

Thanks Madbazoo. I've resisted going on Met' because I thought it would hurt me financially. I'm on free prescriptions now. I'd rather pay and not have T2!
