Seeing as there is a lot of sabre rattling by the bad haircut boys of late, here is a nuclear bomb map to see where you live fairs in a nuclear attack.

My dad did a spell with the civil defence service before it got disbanded in the early seventies. He once told me, if we did have a nuclear war, the area I reside is target number two on the British isles because of its importance in maritime operations.
This would probably have changed now since the eighties because of the lack of investment in this area by consecutive government since and after the Thatcher years!
He also said that, it would be impossible to survive such a war even if you could find a nuclear shelter!

Only stupid and ignorant people would want to use weapons of mass destruction, as no one could possibly be a winner!

I haven't filled out anything, but I live quite close to Portsmouth (naval dockyard) Southampton (large commercial port) and Aldermaston (the UK's main atomic weapons establishment) so I'm pretty sure I'd be fried instantly, thank God, because who'd want to survive a nuclear war?

I hate all this: I marched with CND in the seventies and eighties to try and rid the world of the hideous threat posed by nuclear weapons, only to find that my kids face the same threat, except that these weapons are now in the hands of (amongst others) two unstable lunatics engaging in a p****** competition.

We never learn, do we? Grrrrr...... :(

Well we have Sellafield in west Cumbria. RAF Spadeadam in north Cumbria and Warcop army base in East Cumbria and in South Cumbria at Barrow they build nuclear submarines so I guess we're kinda knackered like
