I've had the same problem in my left foot since diagnosis. Last week, I thought I noticed a slight improvement. This week it's the same as before. But it's no worse than it was two years ago. Normalised BG may help. Why are my toes and the balls of my feet semi numb all th time and what should I do about it?
Dr Berstein reckons that nerve damage is one of the first symptoms of diabetes we notice. That was certainly my experience. He suggests that it can improve over time if we can maintain blood glucose within the non-diabetic rangeSounds like neuropathy. See http://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes-complications/diabetes-neuropathy.html
You need to keep your blood sugar levels low to prevent nerve damage. You also need to be very careful about damage to your feet as healing is slower with poorer circulation caused by neuropathy.
what should I do about it?
