I’ve got T2 since last Feb . Recently my toes on my left foot are going numb . My last HbA1c was 38 so in good control of my bloods .
Now , over Christmas I’ve maybe drank a bit to much but I’ve tried to keep the carbs under 40 to 50 grs a day which I feel I’ve done . But my bs readings on my meter have gone up a bit . From low to middle 5s to low to high 6s
Could this be a symptom of the bs readings or something more sinister . It’s stating to concern me a little .

Hot bath with epson salts ... though with your job, it's surprising

Not been working since 18th . Not back till 3rd jan . So excersise has taken a bit of a nose dive . Prob what’s put my bs up . Gonna enjoy New Year’s Eve then back on the wagon again till end of jan .

If your blood readings are up, that could be the reason, but low to high 6s doesn't sound high enough to bring on neuropathy in itself. In my case, neuropathy was mainly caused by high triglycerides: could cholesterol be an issue?

My cholesterol has been a bit high last reading was 6.3 but I dint know the split of ldl to hdl. I thought 6.3 was not really serious it’s down from 6.6 , 4 months ago

Peadair I would suggest you register with Patient Access on line at your surgery then you can easily look up the breakdown of all your latest lipids and other test results. I dont understand my cholesterol breakdown either but there are people on here who can.
