Numbers and exercise

First off, about me. I'm three years diagnosed. But spent up until a month ago in severe denial. Not eating right, took meds but not as prescribed, found every excuse in the book. I shouldn't eat like a rabbit, I haven't got time to exercise, I still want to enjoy my life etc.
Well got my act together. Went from numbers like 21-17 to 5-8 in three weeks. I had tried the diet before and my numbers never dropped. I'm obese and so this time joined the gym too. Instantly saw impact in my numbers they came down like a shot. Very proud that I got them down so quick. I have the odd spike as I am trying to see what foods I can have and what are big fat no-nos.
However, I have Sunday off (gym not food) but noticed my numbers hover around 8-9 higher than usual. Is it because I'm not going to the gym? Should I go to the gym 7 days a week? Or as they are still in the safe zone (according to libre 2) should I not worry?

Congrats on getting your numbers down so quickly. That's a huge improvement and must feel much better.

Is this monitored with libre/CGM or finger pricks?
8-9 isn't that bad, and going that high for a bit after a meal wouldn't bother me, but regularly staying there all day is not ideal.

Yes, it would make sense that they'd be a bit higher that day if you keep food similar but remove a gym session. What's your other physical activity like on that day? It doesn't have to be gym, but just something like a walk could help.

Difficult to reply as you don't give us any info about what sort of diabetes you have, whether you're on any medication, etc. It helps you to get much better replies and reduces the risk of misinformation.

No comment on your numbers etc. but especially to start with, gym every day is a bad idea - you run into overtraining. Yes to other types of exercise - Yoga or Pilates, badminton, tennis, footie, rugby, brisk walking, cycling, swimming, running, whatever floats your boat.
