The amount of insulin we need is highly personal. Some of us only need 6 units a day, others need 600 units a day.
Knowing what any of us would take wouldn't help you at all.
What kind of instructions have you had from your diabetes nurse or doctor?
Are you seeing such high numbers regularly or is it a one-off?
How do you usually decide how much insulin to take?
Hi Jason, there is no magic number. As already stated, it's all based on personal circumstances. Do you have any idea how much 1 unit of insulin lowers you by?
Do you have sick day rules? This is an example. I know you posted 5 hours ago and it may have resolved by now. This may help for next time. They talk of 5-20% of TDD
