Twice this week I've noticed waking up to numbness down my arm and in particular 1 finger. After shaking and massaging returns to normal. Still "prediabetic"

What does this have to do with diabetes or being prediabetic?

Sound more like you have slept on your arm or something.

If you’re prediabetic it very unlikely to be diabetic neuropathy. If it’s your index, middle or half of your ring finger, it sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. The median nerve which is the affected nerve serves your thumb, index finger, ring finger and half of the ring finger. (I know as I’ve had surgery on my L hand which was classed as severe and have it very mildly in my R hand) Only a Dr can diagnose for sure though.
