I love nuts! But now nuts no longer love me; I found out.

After eating nuts I found out that they had quite a bad effect on me; digestive wise! Is like they gave me a 'stone' like feeling in my stomach. I'm thinking maybe is the fat content?

Anyone else experienced this?

I've since stopped eating nuts!

What type of nuts are you eating and maybe the quantity?

I can eat almonds, hazelnuts, pecans and walnuts in any amount without experiencing any problems. As for Brazil nuts if I eat more than three at a time I do get that stone in the stomach feeling.

I found out that cashews are not a good idea as they are very high in carbs. I rarely eat peanuts as I found out many years ago that I have a sensitivity to them. Peanut butter is fine for some reason (no sugar added of course). Of course both peanuts and cashews aren't really nuts but everyone lumps them into the nut category.

I love nuts but have to limit them not just for carbs but they give me tummy troubles to put it politely, I fair better with them used in recipes such as salads etc in place of croutons for that bit of crunch, usually walnuts

Well I know that Brazil nuts are toxic if too many are consumed, but I do have a couple most days. Many nuts are high in carbs, calories too. I eat walnuts and Pecans but no more that about three of each.
