Cold weather, angry people, queues,
My 60 year old sister in law who has been type 2 for at least 10 years came round last night and we started talking about non alcoholic bear and I said it was unfortunate that it usually contained more carbs , she said I never look at calories to which I replied no carbs , she then said what's the difference ? A bit taken aback I said carbs are what you needed to monitor to control your diabetes to which she replied I have never been told that , she visits the diabetic nurse I think once a year and is always told she is doing fine , I just find it hard to understand the lack of information she must have been given .

Even worse when I first started restricting carbs 10 years ago I was given a sound telling off by ny diabetic nurse and told I must eat “healthy” carbs at each meal and three meals a day. No wonder my HBa1C continued to rise.
