Odd levels

Hi, I am a T2 been diagnosed 3 years was on metformin 500x 3 daily but came off these about 9 months ago of my own choice. Have been feeling unwell so checking my bloods on a regular basis . What seems odd is that l am usually quite low 3.5 - 5.00, but if and when l recheck after eating the levels drop even if l have carbs. I also have metallic taste in my mouth not sure if this is relevant . Any ideas?

Don't know sorry those sort of levels r not diabetic. Not sure if I've read that a metallic taste in mouth to do with some sort of vitamin deficiency. either way would strongly recommend seeing your diabetic nurse to inform them of your levels and not taking meds.

hi, no idea what it means but i had a metallic taste in my mouth for years on and off, sometimes was very strong and quite disgusting i assumed it was a filling breaking down or something, strangely havent had it since dx
