I was diagnosed with T1 6 months ago, my fasting reading was 12.8. Started taking insulin (Actraphane) for about 2 months nd kept getting hypos aftr almst every 2 hours. Was adviced to decrease the dosage bt still didn't help. Went for a second opinion, was given novomix, the same happened. Had Hypos for that month untill I was adviced to stop insulin intake. It has been almst 3 months off insulin and my levels are normal. I excercise. My worry is that I read about the risks of not having my daily dose bt my doctor still advices I stop and monitor my levels. Help!

Hello,
What kinds of food do you eat? Ie intake of carbs per day?

If you are definitely type 1 then it could be that your pancreas is working fine for the time being. (Honeymoon period) Once your pancreas starts to splutter again you will need to restart insulin.
