hi everyone
I was diagnosed t2 just over a year ago following an OGTT of 13.9 at two hours- nearly double what it should be. I took Metformin for two days- made me sick and since then I found this lifesaving forum and started eating LCHF. My hbac 1 Levels have been 5.5-5.7 every three months for the past year through diet alone. In the last few months i have added in 15 g carbs to meals and snacks and then in the last month upped it to 30g carbs to some meals. I then ate a 66g carb muffin for breakfast, my glucose went up to 10 at the hour mark and 7.8 after 2 hours. I thought I’d give the OGTT Test a go again yesterday. I failed miserably- 15.7 at 2 hours (at the doctors) Should I go back to eating LCHF 50g carbs a day or do you guys think the results of the last OGTT may have been worse this time due to the duration of eating LCHF? Would love you thoughts, and am I making progress?. I have since also lost 16kg- now 56kg down from 72kg ( supposed healthy weight). A sincere thank you to each and every one of you for your stories, knowledge and inspiration
