I was diagnosed with T1 in April my Hb A1c was 14.9, The first 3weeks was very hard for me to accept and take in everything.
I was determined to look after myself so that I can look after my family ( my partner and 14 month old son) I started with cutting lot of carb and walking 5 to 6 days a week and it work like magic.
I had another Hb A1c done in May but haven't seen my DSN for a while, met her this morning I could tell their is something positive by the look on her face and she said to me give yourself a tap at the back because you've done very well in just over 1 month of diagnosis . She gave me my old result and the resent one to compare and couldn't believe it from 14.9 ro 6.9.
OH HAPPY DAY
