Oh no... glucose in my urine

Thank you. I think the difficult part is sustaining it. I will try my best. Tried spicy fried chicken wrap and some corn with butter today and my numbers went frrom 4.5 to 7.6! My goodness. No more wrap or fried chicken strips for me.

I can't eat wraps either although the fried chicken strips inside them were probably fine!! I have the Stand and Stuff Tortillas from El Paso - I can eat two of these with little affect on my BS.

Im disappointed I can't seem to tolerate any wholemeal bread, biscuits, milk, wraps and the like. I stop testing myself on things I know will not spike my bs like meat and veggie. But was hoping for some leeway on some carbs. Guess not! Back to delicious bacon, eggs and cheese. My favourites.

@Jajabing all carb will cause a spike in people, even thoughs without diabetes! It isn't that big an isssue as long as it is for only a short amount of time (ie you do not sit in the 8s for many hours). If you go up and down within a short period then this isn't un-normal. As you lose weight you will go back to normal blood glucose response. Keep losing the weight and things are likely to return to normal as they have for me (I do not have to restrict any food now - lady luck smiled down on me).

I'm finding that some foods that used to send my BS quite high are not so bad now. If I'm eating something new or that I think may cause a spike I tend to test at both the 2 and 3 hour point - this tells me whether my BS is on it's way up or down. Depending on that reading I decide whether or not to have it again. What bread have you tried - I can eat w/meal seeded or Lidl do some nice high protein rolls which are only 8g carbs each. I cannot eat Thins or Wraps though!

Only tried some wholemeal bread made locally. It's not easy to find good quality bread like I used to get them in Sydney. I'm thinking about making my own but all the hassle is putting me off.
