Old Blood/Glucose meter

Today I found my first blood/glucose which is a Boehringer-Mannheim meter which I guess is close on 40years old and a unopened box of test strips.So I put some batteries in and miraculously it fired up, in went a coded strip and it recognised the the code,so next a spot of blood and after an age a beep and a reading of 5.8 mmol came up! So next I had to do a test on my latest meter and guess what a reading 5.5 came up.Not bad for a meter or 35 to 40 years old.What do you think?

Wow, brilliant!! That was my first blood meter, was minutes to get a reading- not seconds!!
