On Line Motor Insurance

Hi, I'm a bit new to this and I'd like some advice on buying motor insurance on line please.
I'm type 2 and take metformin with good control and no symptoms nor complications.
DVLA website states that they do not need to be informed of my condition.
Regarding medical conditions, On Line Motor Insurance proposal forms I've come across tend only to ask "Do you have a condition that the DVLA need to be informed of?" Options are either Yes or No.
But I've also read advice that the insurance company must be informed.
Not wanting to invalidate the insurance, legally, is it sufficient to answer "No" to the Insurance Company's question? As it seems to on the face of it satisfy their requirements. Also there isn't the opportunity to go into any further detail on the electronic form.
Thanks

Type 2 diabetes which is controlled by tablets may not load up your car insurance.

The problem is finding the right car insurance company that's suits you.
You could try to use a broker which may help find you a better deal and give you less hassle.
Insurance Company's are very clever at increasing your cost. However you must answer each question honestly as they will use any reason to refuse payout if we were involved in any kind of incident.

Roy, :)
