When people who know nothing about the LCHF diet tell me I'm killing myself being on it. I was killing myself not being on it!
We went to Norway for a wonderful holiday and wedding, meeting in-laws and their family. I didn't want to return home and sat down and cried when we got to our home! So since late October I have been feeling pretty low, binge eating, then back on course, then back to eating anything I could find. My sleep patterns are not good, unable to get to sleep, then only getting between 3 and 5 hrs. Then after a few days I will be so tired and I sleep for 8 hrs. My mood swings are prize winners! I'm sure this is all to do with my BG levels. The highest I've been is a 13 (that was after a slice of my homemade Christmas cake, laced with brandy, the best cake I have ever made) and lately around low 8's to mid 9's. Yesterday I told myself this was stupid and ate LCHF properly again and before tea tonight I was a 5.2 and 6.4 3hrs after (forgot to test after 2 hrs). I'm hoping my sleep patterns improve, mood swings improve and the stress goes. Being 62 in December didn't help, but that is something I have to get used to!!!

My mood has improved enormously since low carbing - my high sugars were making me feel very tired and low, so I'm sure as you say, as you sort the sleep and the sugars you will get back to feeling much better again. (It that your dog in your profile pic - he looks awesome!)

I’m half Norwegian. Background is from Trondheim.

I miss Norway.

I would say the top 3 most beautiful countries in terms of nature and scenery are Norway, Philippines and New Zealand!

I was in Trondheim 2 1/2 yrs ago, a lovely friendly city. We travelled from Stavanger to Roros by plane, then train to Trondheim, plane and bus to Kabelvag, then plane back to Bergen. The first visit 7 yrs ago was to Bergen, then ferry to Flam and buses around the area, staying in different wonderful hotels with fantastic scenery. Last year was Lillehammer for a short break, then Oslo for our son's wedding. I have Norway envy by the bucket load!

Try to go cruising around the Fjords next time.

Norway is really a very beautiful country but I prefer the tropical scenery and the Philippines is top of my list.

We plan to take a Hurtigruten boat up the coastline in 2022 after we have both retired, so no rushed holiday. The Philippines is beautiful, but I would never get him indoors to fly that far!

That is a pup we bred from our black lab, using a deep Fox red stud. She is starting to calm down now at 19 months. She is awesome I agree!

Last night I slept for almost 9 1/2 hours and feel so much better this morning, even after a night of hiding behind chairs as we had dinosaurs roaming about work, eating people that couldn't walk..... The dinosaurs didn't try to eat anyone behind chairs and under blankets, so I survived

Goodness! That reads like one of my dreams.
Last night we had zombies in the house, and I was hunting them with the walking stick I bought in the Lake District when I dislocated my ankle on a walking holiday...
