Asda do have access to Sensors, just bought one for 44£ ! The pharmacist gets next day delivery.... so Libre do have them they're stockpiling !! On your bike

Have a friend who works in Boots who can order me them and get them next day too. Going there from now on. Still have some on order from Abbott but have been waiting almost 3 weeks for them now.

Abbotts will probably be under a contractual agreement with the NHS to supply the sensors. If they can't supply them then they will more than likely loose said contract. The NHS will be paying for thousands of sensors per month and not the ones and twos per month we order. It is TOTALLY wrong what Abbotts are doing to the people who have been self funding for the past few years BUT they are a business and are in this to make money, LARGE amounts of money care of our NHS.

I went to my local Asda yesterday to enquire about ordering my sensor's through them.
I explained the delay with Abbot getting sensors out to customers and the pharmacist did tell me that they could not guarantee delivery before Abbot's time frame but they can be ordered from there.
She had never processed a request for one yet so she took my mobile number and said she would ring me this afternoon when she had managed to order it for me. So fingers crossed it comes quickly!

I just ordered mine from Asda. The pharmacist said the discounted price of £44 was only for diabetics and asked for proof. I had my travelling kit with me (insulin, BG test kit, glucose etc).

I’m unsure what someone with T2 would have as proof - copy metformin prescription?
