First of all I think this is a fantastic forum,it has helped me no end, but once more I need to understand one thing :-
I know that high BG levels are harmful but does it mean they have to be high day after day or does it mean if they are occasionally high they are harmful ????

If they are constantly high you run a high risk of developing complications. If they are occasionally high you may be dealing with spikes or sudden sharp drops in levels and these can be equally dangerous. I know this from personal experience.

In order to remain as safe as possible it is important to keep your levels as low and as stable as you can manage. It is impossible topredit outcomes for any individual but it is enerally agreed hat the above is the best way to take care of yourself
and avoid dangerous and life-changing complications.

Charles what i do is try to keep safe on normal days so that being safe becomes the way you normally are. Going out ever so often and having a good time or celebrating special occasions and things like that is different. You have to have some fun now and then or life becomes really depressing. So time off for good behaviour is fine in moderation.
