I am being taken out for a birthday meal soon and would like to be a bit naughty and eat a "normal" meal. I won't go mad, though. My BG is constantly well inside the limits and comes down quickly after food. Do you think I am crazy to contemplate doing this?
I am T2 with average BG of 5.2?

OK I'll be the party pooper then.....
Its another meal.
Make sure its an extra special one but personally I would stay low carb. The after effects of eating high carb, from what I have read, once you are used to low carb are not pleasant so why put yourself through it?
I also fear the slippery slope.. once you have "cheated" once it becomes easier each time.
It is of course your decision as well as your diabetes.

I've been thinking that too, bulky. I will chose something I like and not eat all the carbs on the plate....I think I would chicken out of eating anything too carby.

Well..I had duck breast and spinach in an oriental dressing, about 30g of chips and cheese and biscuits. It added up to about 35g of carbs. Not so bad then!
totally yummy and no conscience to cope with - well done, happy birthday x
