Hi outside, Where can I book onto a Diabetes Course. It appears to be a dark heart. When I speak to people whether it is medical or normal I get so many conflicting answers.
Help Please I live in the South Cheshire area.

I was referred to it by the surgery. Perhaps you should go to see your Doctor or your DN.

In most cases it will be part of your initial treatment by whoever diagnosed you.

Once diagnosed you should be scheduled for an education course along with subsequent annual testing, although this may not be immediate and may take some time to come through the system.

I would check with your GP or DSN.

Dreamer! Does not happen in my county. My T1D friends have to travel 40 miles out of County for T1D training and follow up. Another T1D on a pump has never had a course offered at all, and gets it from the only DCN in our county. I have never been offered any training, but I did get to see the DCN a couple of times, and see a nutritionist once in my 10 years T2D

Tell us which county so that we can all avoid it.

Our diabetes education programmes are held at the surgery (a health centre), and all newly diagnosed T2s are invited to attend. Ours is a small market town in a rural area but somehow still manages to provide the normal recommended by NICE service.
Which county do you live in? I'd move if I were you..
