Feeling unwell
Well just wanted to share my first week as in my new life with T2. ( Since my GTT )

First of all yes Metformin was a completed ********** at first and made be feel very unwell , but I reduced my carbs and , drank lots of water and took a few loprimide tablets and I think I have made it out the other side ( Crossed fingers)

If I could tell someone else that went through what I did in the first few days on this treatment , I would say try what I did and stick in there.

Today I have felt the first time actually positive for the future, I have got my head around the low -carb lifestyle I think . :D even started to cook in advance and even ordered some treats with zero carbs..... so life is far better than it was last week. 00h even posted my prescription exempt form ..LOL

I have to wait for another two weeks until I get to see the specialist nurse and ask for a blood test monitor and test sticks.

Thanks for your support

Well done. Once u start learning about nutrition etc its quite empowering.
Im 7 weeks in, bg is down from 28 to 5.6 average. Bp is comming down nicely as is cholesterol.
Lost 2 stone in that time and so far feel fantastic.
Keep it up

All sounds good Phil

Well done Phil half the battle with DB is getting your head round it and looking at the positive, there are lots of good things to eat and drink(red wine suits me ) I couldnt cope with the normal metformin but the SR type is ok I am a skinny so dont need to lose weight rather put it on which is a bit of a nightmare but keeping BGs under control is the main thing and once you get into the habit of eating to keep good control it just becomes "what you do" .Keep on keeping on
