We have two fridges - the carby stuff goes in the fridge in the front hall, plus any overflow from the one under the stairs - and salads, as the front fridge is set slightly warmer. It works fairly well - I can go and get celery or salad from the front fridge and resist the chocolate no problem now.My wife is very supportive, but she does say I am on an extreme diet!
She also eats bread, cake, ice cream, chocolates, grapes and often asks me if I want one. They are also lurking in the fridge!
But I wouldn't want her to give up anything she enjoys and I have become resigned to the fact that I just don't eat that stuff any more!
U two sound very sweet, ur wife must be worrying about u a lot. And u saying u still want her to enjoy the food she likes, its very nice of u.My wife is very supportive, but she does say I am on an extreme diet!

Hi Hiitsme, I really enjoy my 2 squares of Lindt 90% every day, one with coffee in the morning and one in the afternoon. Who needs more?I have no easy answers. I also find it hard when diabetic friends give me chocolate and biscuits for Christmas with the comment It's Christmas of course you can eat this now. I wouldn't mind if it was Lindt 90% as I do eat that. Maybe I need to do a lot more education
My husband is very supportive, and he does all the cooking. Occasionally if I ask for something "vaguely naughty" he quizzes me about it, and if I do go ahead and have it, he always asks me what my meter readings were afterwards. He has been like this since the beginning. He also eats a lot of carbs but they have never tempted me, so it doesn't cause any issues. Friends, on the other hand, have learnt not to offer the "one won't hurt you" these days. They used to until I offered to test them after one of their binges. They declined.
About the end of October start to drop hints about the high percentage chocolate bars - just sort of casually so they get the idea...I have no easy answers. At what stage do family and friends accept that you don't want it
