I've just realised that it has been just over a year ago that I was told I had T2 diabetes and how devastated I was to be told this but now think it was what I needed as it gave me a kick up the **** to change my lifestyle. I have totally changed my eating habits and lifestyle around. I've lost over 3 stone in weight, dropped 3 dress sizes and eat smaller, healthier meals now. My Hba1c started off at 90 and is now 36 and my bg stay mostly in the 5 range but occasionally creep up to the low 7s. I have a lot more energy and stamina now than what I had a year ago but still find exercise difficult to do due to my disability but I do my best.
I don't think I would of got here as easy if it wasn't for all the advice I've received and read from you guys, so many thanks for being there giving advice and encouragement to myself and others.

Yep, it's true what they say about the benefits of diet and exercise. I've a couple of things wrong with me which makes some exercise difficult but I managed to discover new ways of being active. Where there is a will there is a way. I can potter away for a full day in the garden now and am about to build some raised beds to create a vegetable plot - my bad back is one of the things that prevents me from bending too much so raised beds will help tremendously.

Wow, Nicola. I'm seriously impressed with what you've achieved. I so hope I can follow suit and post something similar in a year. I'm actually putting off buying some new bras as I hope to go down a size - LOL!
