Hi,

I used my control solution on my ultrasmart meter because it's been reading high since i changed back to that meter after using my compact plus for 8 months.

Anyway, i did the control solution and it read 7.3, where it should be in the range of 5.6 to 7.4
I knows it's still in range but it's right up there near the top, and i did it twice and got the same reason.

The control solution i have is about 2 years old... I have no idea how to get a new bottle of control solution, the bottle says to discard after 90 days of opening.

Where do you get a new bottle of control solution from?? is it on prescription or what?

ring the makers - they should send a new bottle for free.

i found a link on their website to order the free control solution.

It says on the website that you can get free replacement batteries too but there's no option for that!!

You can also order a free log book from there too.

I just text the word solution to 84118 and they send me some, normally 2-3 days. Control solution only has a 3 month shelf life, so yours is well out of date. You can also text book to the same number and they lend you logs.

i ordered some from that link on friday morning and got it today (saturday morning, the next day)

I was gob smacked at the speed of that delivery!!!

The letter i got with it said about the texting as well.. so i saved the number in my one

According to the site though, only 1 bottle per person every 6 months!! ... a bit odd when the shelf life is 3 months! :?

I have had more than 1 every 6 months. Not much more but I guess that it is to stop people ordering loads at once.
