onglyza, anyone on it ?

Having divericulitis I'm finding metformin hard to stomach (pun).
I've read that some use onglyza to avoid this.
I've also read that some folk are on metformin and onglyza which I don't understand.
Any advice much appreciated.

Can't be of much help as consultant insisted I try it (was on gliclazide at time).
Didn't do anything for me so came back off after 3 months back to glic & then weaned myself off that!

Looking around it seems there are others like glic and dapa doo (whatever). forxica and others.
I love DT2 it's so straight forward
