Hi, everyone. I'm new here and this is my first post.

I'm here to ask if there are there any sites that are like Fitday which have nutrition trackers and databases, a place to record weight, exercise, etc AND which also lets you track blood glucose readings, all in one place?

I currently track my food on one site then input the carbs, bgs and exercise on a spreadsheet, and I'm looking for a way to streamline everything. I've recently started to use insulin and I feel much much better getting off oral meds and Victoza, but the planning and recording required is a bit like having a part-time job.

Welcome to the forum.....

I am not aware of anything online like that unfortunately............

I use myfitnesspal to record my food and then spreadsheets like you, to record blood sugar and insulin doses......

maybe someone else has some thought........:)

If you have a smartphone with android OS, Check out "On Track" its great, Has everything plus more what you want :)

I don't have a smart phone -- I'm a holdout.

I just looked up OnTrack and it does look good, but at this time, I'd need an online version.

http://www.dafneonline.co.uk/

the DAFNE Online website provides the facility to record your blood sugars, insulin doses, insulin/carb ratios etc, but it designed specifically for DAFNE graduates who are familiar with Car Portions [CPs], Quick Acting Insulin [QA] and Background Insulin [BI]..............

are you on a basal/bolus insulin regime.........

it may be useful...........if you sign up without being a graduate I believe you can still access the recording facility, but you wont be able to access the course handbook etc......

Thank you. Yes, I chose to use a basal/bolus routine so I wouldn't have to be regimented about meals.

There is something similar to what you describe, for free, at http://www.glucosebuddy.com/ and although I appreciate them making it free, it doesn't have a nutritional database.

Followup - I found and joined http://www.mynetdiary.com/ and it seems to have everything I want. I actually paid $60 US for a year's membership, which is extremely unusual for me as I never pay for any online services, but although I've only been using it a day I'm already thinking it will be worth it. There is a diabetes module that paid users can activate that will track bgs, insulin and will also incorporate the food diary info to give insulin:carbs ratios. The food module seems to have a very complete database and lots of ways to enter our own foods. There are places to track exercise, weight, measurements, etc. You can set your own nutritional targets, which I like a lot as a low-carb eater, I was never able to tell tracking sites that I didn't want to get half my calories from carbs.

The option to add the diabetes module didn't show up for a few hours after I joined... maybe it was about processing my payment.... but I didn't realize that it was missing and tried to get the site working the way I wanted without it., which was confusing But all that was temporary and I seem to be set up now.

If I ever do get a smart phone or a fitbit or any of that fancyshcmancy stuff, this site is already all set up to accommodate it.
