Woke up alot higher this morning, but did a correction bolus with my breakfast, 2 hours later re~ checked levels, even higher, started to think why?. I then remembered......forgot to prime my tubing from changing the cannula the night before, felt such a dumbass. by that time there was a little insulin coming out the end of the cannula. Corrected with lunch and turned out all ok.

I've started a bad habit of having no idea what I have bolused just seconds before! Seems I'm going into auto pilot and setting my pen without thinking. Thankfully I've got a novopen echo which has a function that tells you the last time you used it and for how many units

Just got one of thoose novopen echo's myself, love the half unit capability :D

I reckon I screwed up a dose on Monday, mentally counted my carbs up to three units worth, but I reckon I only dosed two units, not paying attention. Reading before lunch 5.2, +2hrs 12.6. Oh well, live and learn.

And there lies the beauty of the Echo, you could have gone and checked if you'd had it then!

Hi Brett glad all is well now, I would think most people have done 'daft' things regarding the dosage, I have the NovoRapid 1/2 unit pen, which is really helpful :)

We all make mistakes, that's why pencils have a rubber on the end

RRB :)

Wait till you get a cartridge stuck!! Only done that once!! The bottom of the cartridge stayed stuck to the piston rod for some reason.. The rest of it came out as usual, but it had a small amount of insulin in the cartridge I was changing, so that leaked out into the cartridge casing.

Accuchek were superb at giving me advice how to get the bottom of the cartridge removed and how to dry the cartridge chamber.

That was my worst experience ever with pump!!
