As well as type 2 I've had COPD for years also spondylitis in neck and top of my back in recent time I found that in morning I have had really painful hips the COPD is the only one I worry about has any members had problems with these issues

Hi @PeterGC - sorry to hear this. How are you coping with the symptoms? I don't have that but do have painful arthritis. Wishing u well

Hi Peter I too have T2 and COPD but thankfully quite mild but I also have Bronchiectasis and Spondylitis of the lower spine which gives me chronic pain in my right leg. What meds do you take for your copd and spondylitis, its always good to swap tips.

I use various inhalers for the copd and bronchiectasis and have been through just about every pain killer from paracetamol to DF118 Codeine for my arthritis, I now use Transtec™ Bupronorphine slow release patches which have been a game changer for me although I still do get breakthrough pain occasionally for which I take just paracetamol and or ibuprofen, I also wear Cura-Heat™ 24 hour patches on my lower back if I get pain and or swelling there, I find them useful too although I do pay for those as I dont think they are available on prescription.

Hi People :). I am also Type 2 and have Osteoarthritis of my lower Spine, Fingers, Knees and Ankles. Plus got 2 Bulging (Herniated) Disc's in my Lumbar/Sacral Area, which causes Sciatica down my legs. I am using Butec 10 Transdermal Patches, Naproxen and have Liquid Morphine for when the pain is really Severe. I too wear Heat Pads which I find 'dulls' the pain to a much bearable level.

Hi @Liam1955 I started off on Bu-Trans 15 and then over several years progressed up in dosage to the Transtec 35 that Ive been using now for a couple of years.

How have you found the patches? They made a huge difference to me. I do find that I get more breakthrough pain during the colder months and less when the weather is warmer, maybe I should move to Spain or Greece ;)

Hello @Sid Bonkers - Yes, I agree - I only suffer worse in the Winter months.

Up and until 5 weeks ago I was taking Tramadol and Lyrica on and off for last couple of years. My GP decided to try me on these Butec Transdermal Patches and they seem to be subduing the pain, they don't kill the pain - but make it more bearable. :)
