Hello. I bought lot of test strips from ebay and they are out of date now by about two months is still okay to use them? If not why? There for my accu check.

storage is more important than date..try them..you might need to change the date on your meter, so it sees them as current..but you will see that when you put a stip in if it accepts it
 
When I tried using out of date strips in my Accu-Chek meter it refused them. BUT I never thought of trying to change date setting to fool it!

How do you change the date? I do store them in a dark cupboard in the bathroom. Had accu check for a long time so haven't got the manual now.
 
Accu-Chek meters won't accept out of date strips..............sorry.
 
The only reason I have heard for not using out of date strips is that they may not be so accurate any more
 
Well it's still working its a accu check compact. But I'm waiting for it to stop any time now.


Well that is good and saves throwing them away, my only other concern would be the accuracy of the test strips if they are 2 months or more out of date.

There is that but I'm pre diabetic one doctor says yes the other says no so just want to get a rough idea. If I was diabetic I wouldn't use it have to be accurate then.
