Hi, I don't know if this is the right place for this so apologies if it's not.
I am type 1 and my control is pretty bad and has been since I got diagnosed but I am trying to get on top of this now.
One of my problems is eating, I don't know why but I have always got the urge to eat and it is never the stuff that is good for me but I can't seem to stop doing it and it has got to the stage that I just want to cry with it as it has gotten to me so much.
Is this a common sort of thing? has anyone on here had this problem and how did you overcome it?
Thank you.

Hi @kenny1985

It sounds like you need some support, have you spoken to your DSN about this at all ? Try and get rid of foods that are an issue, stock up on better food choice to remove temptation. Your control will be affected if your not managing your carb intake with matched bolus injections so if you can find the support you need then your control will improve. I know running high can cause low mood, anxiety, also your hunger increases too as your body can't cope with the extra glucose in your blood so needs energy, hence hunger, so again getting better control will help, at least talking about it has proven you need to do something so please call your DSN tomorrow and see if you can get an appointment to discuss this, best wishes.
