My highest A1C on your measurement system was 124:/ my last one I think was 74
That’s a great reduction! I spent far too long at around 12% (we’ve not long changed to the new numbering system, and I’m only just getting to grips with it), are you still working to bring it down?
 
Indeed! Over the years I’ve just memorized the carbs in most foods haha

Perhaps you can tell me - what advice were you given as T1 to lower your A1c?

There’s also a school of thought that suggested it’s the best treatment in conjunction with insulin for T1s too. It’s certainly worked for me.
 
I read somewhere that low-carbing is the solution for lowering A1c not just for T2s but also for T1s.

But I want to know if low carb diet dangerous for T1s edging on hypoglycaemia?

They basically just said to monitor my sugars consistently and take my insulin before I eat and not during/after

@NewTD2 I agree, following a LCHF way of eating is great for everyone, with or without diabetes and no matter what their occupation.
