Hi, I'm new to the forum. A bit of background, I have been Type 2 for approx 15 years. My recent HbA1c was 80. A friend of mine, similar situation, asked her doctor for change to Ozempic and her doctor agreed and her HbA1c has drastically come down. I asked my doctor if I could do the same. My doctor consulted with a colleague doctor who said that my HbA1c results had never been great ( from 2024 it has been increasing gradually from 45 to 80) and given the length of time I had been T2 in their opinion I am looking at going on insulin. I'm currently on Metformin, Dapagliflozin, and Trullicity. I wondered if there was anyone with similar experience and whether they have challenged the Doctor or is the best thing just to go on insulin. I feed I'm at a crossroads and don't know what to do. Would be good to hear others experience.
