Uk citizen but resident of Ireland and no issues getting Ozempic but I’ve a holiday home in both Spain and Thailand and both countries appear to have run out of stock. I’ve phoned Novo Nordisk in the UK and they claim demand is outstripping supplies?
Is there an underlying issue with Semaglutide that is not being disclosed?

Hi @Killala and welcome to the forums.

We have had a number of threads recently from members whose pharmacies are unable to source their supply.

eg

It seems the shortage is world wide?

Hi Killala (sawasdee!), Further to EllieM's message above, the discussion about Ozempic is under the Type 2 diabetes/Ozempic thread. I have also contributed my "two bob's worth" to that discussion. I'm in Australia and can't get Ozempic either (or very rarely, at least).
However I have come to the conclusion that the shortage happened around about the same time as it was revealed (in the mass media, certainly here in Australia) that Ozempic is a "miracle cure" for instant weight loss. Within a week or so, every GP was prescribing Ozempic for anyone wanting to lose weight, and diabetics (like me) were struggling to find any left.
Other people on these forums have other theories, so you might like to go back through the other thread & read all those posts. There is a lot of useful info there, as there is on this entire Diabetes.co.uk Forum. I'm only a Newbie too, and I'm finding it all terrific reading and I've learnt a lot already. Cheers, DB1.
