Ozempic?

I’m on Victoza, a similar med, however there is a National shortage at the moment of these meds, so I may have to stop it as I run out soon. Advice to Drs is not to prescribe it to new patients at the moment.
But in answer to your question I have had no side effects.

I take ozempic... .5mg 1x a week... slight nausea for a couple of days when I first started... nothing else I have experienced... been taking for 2 months... have lost 8 pounds in addition to the balancing of my glucose levels

Yes, gallbladder disease with GLP-1s … now 13 years after starting them I’m in constant agony with an NHS that will do nothing!

I’m on ozempic, 1mg (gotta inject twice now as I can only get it in 0.5 values from pharmacies near me)

I was on Ozempic for just over a year, brought my blood sugars down to pre diabetic levels and I lost a st in weight. However due to random nausea, being sick, lots of time off sick from work and having a constant feeling of like impending doom in my stomach I took myself off it. Now waiting for my annual review (which has been cancelled twice now)to see what else there is I can have.

Anyone tried ozempic or other similar medications? Any problems?
Yes I started on it in January, works well at reducing blood glucose levels and weight, initial side effects were not great for me, however they do get more manageable!
Problem now is that my pharmacist tells me that it is unobtainable and will be so for 12 months minimum! So I have 3 weeks left then it looks like I’m back to insulin!
Would I try it again when available, probably as the once a week, great control, and no need to monitor outweigh the side effects issues….probably!!

This is a global shortage as explained by Diabetes UK:

Yes indeed. I was just quoting what my diabetes nurse said. But yes it is global
