More of an aching - I get this from time to time and its usualyy worse at night? Anyone else suffer with anything like this? I was reading about nerve damage and am starting to suspect it might be this? I initally went to see the GP about this pain when i was eventually diagnosed with type 2 in April this year and it seemed to wear off after a a few months but its back again!!! I bought some strips today and my sugars seemed alright was 5.8 this morning. just so annoying grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Football. Bad manners.
I can't diagnose, of course, but diabetes-caused nerve pain wouldn't be my first suspicion.

Are you taking statins, by any chance? They can cause such problems in some people.

Go back to your doctor and ask again. Good luck :D

Edit: - have you done any unusual physical activity - eg heavy gardening? that might have over-stretched muscles?

hypocrisy, prejudice and the corrupt legal system (never got compensation I deserved from an accident)
Apart from the arm it sounds like the scaitica I sometimes get (wearing off now) but I felt it more at night I guess as I probably had bad posture lying down curled up or whatever! I tend to agree with Viv that I wouldn't expect nerve damage as nerves are incredibly slow to heal so I wouldn't of thought it'd come and go as yours appears to have done

I was getting joint pain, especially in my hips when I was on statins. It took quite a while to go away after I stopped taking them. At worst, I was thinking hip replacement. It was quite severe and debilitating. The pain made it difficult to get out of a chair or bed and was worse at night. Certainly prevented me from going to the gym. Fine now, though.

Yours could be anything, though....best go to the quack.
