Hi, I have been testing 3 times regularly now for glucose level. And it starts to pain on my finger tips. My skin is thicker and it doesn't give blood that easy. Is it fine to take blood from anywhere else on the body other than finger tips? Or how can I reduce the pain after pricking? Pls help

Are you testing on the tip / pad of your finger or on the sides?

If you are doing the pad of your finger try testing on the sides, you double the testing spots to you can rotate better and there are fewer nerves there so it doesn't hurt as much.

Otherwise you could try an alternate site like the inside of your forearm though for me that never really worked well.

Hi, I test 6/8 times per day but as Andy says on the sides of the fingers and, to be honest, mainly my left hand. I must be lucky cos doing that for a long time now and very rarely have sore fingers.

The BG machines these days only need tiny amounts of blood, use the sides of your fingers as test sites and have the finger pricker on the lowest setting possible to achieve a reading,.

Good luck
