I have a corn on the underside of my big toe. I saw an NHS podiatrist who told me that they don’t remove corns anymore - they just file down the hard skin so that the pressure on the corn is reduced. She told me that I should periodically repeat this at home. The result is that I still have the corn and it still hurts! I’m not happy setting about my feet myself when we’ve traditionally been advised to leave it to the experts. Type one for 45 years. Thanks.

Is a medical pedicurist an option? Likely have to self-fund, but if it helps...
