I have had type 2 diabetes for about 12 years now. My GP was surprised that I developed full-blown straight away - no warning signs. I have recently discovered that I have that I have substantial necrosis of the pancreas and it has been attributed to a nasty bout of pancreatitis which happened about 6 months before my diabetes was diagnosed.
I read all sorts of things about trying to lose weight to improve the diabetes but I have other health problems and take drugs which have caused weight gain and with this new revelation on the state of my pancreas I do not see any way forward - just down and then out! I would really appreciate any advice out there.
