Pancreas is a lunatic?!

Thanks guys,

Yes I'm apparently in a honeymoon phase they think. It's not terribly high I think it's just that I can't control it and would prefer to never be above 7 mmol (in an ideal world I know). I think it's just the constant worry of my levels creeping up because then it would be taking me one step closer to insulin dependence :-(

And you have a point Hale nd might be right because pork is quite fatty, I don't remove the fat off my pork and it was belly pork :-)

So... I ate a jam tart and tested 2 hours after and got a 4.7 mmol nd for the last three days I've not managed to really get my levels above 4.6 and 4.7 mmol... I don't understand why? At first I thought maybe the testing meter was faulty....but then I tested my morning and the **** dawn phenomenon is still there at 7.1 so it can't be the meter... I'm not on insulin and I've been told a million times 'once the cells are destroyed they can't come back' so how can I possibly be stuck on 4.7 mmol? Anyone else experienced this?
