I couldn't open the link however, there is a lot of debate about what you can achieve in relation to type 2 diabetes. My thoughts are that you can put it into remission or have it controlled but only as long as you maintain the diet that put you there. I lost a fair bit of weight but a higher level of carbs still causes a spike that I would prefer not to have.

So this is the reason I think that the best solution is finding a way of life that you can maintain that keeps your levels in the 'normal' range as much as possible. For me I can maintain a very low carb way of life. This keeps my levels under control. I personally find that very low carb take less mental work as I don't do any calculations (or very few) as anything with any real carbs is an automatic no. My latest blood tests came back all good so it is something that works on a holistic basis for me not just for diabetes.

I personally believe that if I increased my carb levels significantly I would go back into the diabetic range- I don't know how long that would take but I think that's what would happen to me.
