So I was reading this story

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2563307/The-women-abortions-robbed-chance-motherhood.html

If you scroll to the last story it's about a woman who has 2 abortions due to being type 1 diabetic and was told her kidneys could fail. She they says later in life she had a kidney and pancreas transplant and this cured her diabetes!! I've never heard of this before but if it's possible why isn't this being done more often?? Any else heard anythin about this happening??

They only do it when you are having other organs transplanted due to having to take anti rejection drugs for the rest of your life. These drugs are very powerful and can have some nasty side effects which are worse than well controlled diabetes. Also the pancreas transplants are often not very successful and have a high failure rate. It's basically more trouble than it's worth in most cases.
